Isabel Ziegler is applying for a vacant unexpired seat on the Historic Preservation Commission
RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPOINT Isabel Ziegler to the Historic Preservation Commission, with a term that expires July 31, 2026 –

Isabel Ziegler's extensive expertise and passion for preserving cultural heritage make her an ideal addition to the Historic Preservation Commission. Isabel brings a deep AGENDA

understanding of both the technical and historical aspects of preservation, particularly with regard to the WWII-era sites in Richmond. Her experience working with diverse preservation projects and her ability to navigate complex historical contexts will allow her to make valuable contributions to the Commission’s work. Isabel’s strong collaborative skills, attention to detail, and commitment to community engagement will ensure that the preservation efforts in the city, including those at Rosie the Riveter Park, remain grounded in both historical accuracy and public relevance. Her appointment will enhance the Commission’s ability to protect and celebrate Richmond’s rich historical legacy.
