REASONS FOR INTEREST IN APPOINTMENT:
I want to join this commission because I believe in the promise of this new program. I think a crisis response team in Richmond is needed so that people can feel much safer seeking help for things like mental health crises, loitering calls, and other low level calls that don't require the need for an armed officer. I also want to join because as a Latinx youth, voices like mine represend a large portion of Richmond that have historically been underrepresented in spaces like commissions.
