A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE PACIFIC LIBRARY
PARTNERSHIP AND ADJUST APPROPRIATIONS BY $3,174 AND TO ADJUST EXPENDITURES BY $3,174 IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 LIBRARY BUDGET
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the Fiscal Year 202 4-2025 City of Richmond operating budget, the Library was awarded $3,174 from the Pacific Library Partnership; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding of $ 3,174 will be used towards cooperative book lending costs, and;
WHEREAS, cooperative book lending among 70 academic and public libraries, via the Link+ system, supports reading and access to information for Richmond Public Library cardholders, and;
WHEREAS, Link+ lending is an important and popular service of the Richmond Public Library, with 3, 957 books and audiovisual materials borrowed via Link+ in the previous Fiscal Year 2023-2024 by Richmond Public Library cardholders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Richmond that the 2024-2025 Library Fund Budget is adjusted to add $3,174 to revenue and add $3,174 to expenditures to support Link+ lending at Richmond Public Library.
