STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Madiha Qader is reapplying to serve on the Richmond
Fund for Children and Youth Oversight Board
RECOMMENDED ACTION: REAPPOINT Madiha Qader to the Richmond Fund for Children and Youth Oversight Board, term expires
December 2, 2026 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo

DISCUSSION:
The Mayor recommends the reappointment of Madiha Qader to the Richmond Fund for Children and Youth (RFCY) Oversight Board. Madiha has served on the board since 2019, contributing valuable leadership and insight. Over the past three years, the RFCY has awarded $8.8 million in funding through 56 grants, guided by the priorities outlined in the 2020 Community Needs Assessment. In addition to her experience, Madiha holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development, further enhancing the board’s strategic capacity and effectiveness.
