ISSUE:
Connie He is applying to serve on the Richmond-
Shimada Friendship Commission
RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPOINT Connie He to the Richmond-Shimada Friendship Commission, term expires December 31,
2028 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-
620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Connie He is applying to serve on the Richmond-Shimada Friendship Commission.
She is currently volunteering in an unofficial capacity to support the commission’s efforts. Previously, she was appointed as a youth delegate for the Richmond- Shimada Friendship Commission trip—a meaningful experience that left a lasting impact. Now, she is eager to give back by supporting the commission’s mission and helping other young people benefit from the same opportunities she once received.
