DISCUSSION:

Kate Baker is applying to serve on the Library Commission. A 10-year resident of Richmond and the daughter of a librarian, Kate has long understood the vital role libraries play in a community. Since becoming a parent, her appreciation for the library’s programs and services has only deepened. At a time when demand for library services is rising and federal funding is uncertain, Kate recognizes the urgency of strong, informed support. Her lifelong connection with libraries, experience as a Director of Operations, and commitment to the community make her an ideal advocate for this critical institution.
