RESOLUTION NO. ______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A TWO-AND-A-HALF PERCENT TARIFF RATE
INCREASE TO THE PORT OF RICHMOND TERMINAL TARIFF FEDERAL MARITIME COMMISSION NO. 3.
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, operates various marine terminal facilities at the Port of Richmond ; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend the Port of Richmond Terminal Tariff Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) No. 3 by implementing a two-and-a-half (2.5%) percent tariff rate increase General Rate Increase (GRI), effective July 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2025, the California Association of Port Authorities (CAPA), Committee on Tariffs and Practices, approved the Port of Richmond's Docket Proposal which is based on the West Region Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers; and
WHEREAS, any tariff fees owed on or after July 1, 2025, will have a 2.5% percent annual tariff rate increase GRI.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Richmond hereby adopts an amendment to the Port of Richmond Tariff FMC No. 3, increasing the tariff rate by 2.5% effective as of July 1, 2025.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Richmond hereby authorizes the City's Port Executive Director or designee to publish the rates and rules, as required.
