AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND AMENDING CHAPTER 6.50 OF THE RICHMOND MUNICIPAL CODE ADDING
SECTION 6.50.100 ENTITLED “BIANNUAL REPORT TO COUNCIL”
The City Council of the City of Richmond do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Richmond Municipal Code (RMC) Chapter 6.50 is hereby amended to add the following:
“Section 6.50.100 – Biannual Report to Council. On a biannual basis, no later than June 30 and December 31 of each calendar year, the Arts and Cultur e Division Manager and the Arts and Culture Division staff members shall provide a written report and a presentation to the City Council on the art projects being developed in the City and the resources and support the Arts and Culture Division needs from the City and its residents. The presentation from the Arts and Culture Division should include, but is not be limited to: current public art projects and initiatives throughout the City; updates on Public Art contributions pursuant to Section 6.50.020 and utilization of such funds; status of Arts and Culture Division budget, including requests and needs; activities and initiatives of the Richmond Arts and Culture Commission; and, challenges or barriers to advancing arts and culture in the City.”
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after passage and adoption.
