RESOLUTION NO. ______-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A PURCHASE WITH SAN MATEO LAWN MOWER FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) TORO 6000 SERIES MOWERS FOR A COST NOT-TO-EXCEED $72,200
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department identified the need for four (4) new Toro 6000 mower within the Abatement and Parks Divisions, in order to support ongoing maintenance operations, including weed abatement, fuel mitigation, and vegetation control across City properties, open spaces, and right-of-ways; and
WHEREAS, staff requested quotes from some local companies and received the following quotes:
San Mateo Lawn Mower Shop (San Mateo) $16,399.29 ea.
Josephs Lawnmower & Lock, Inc (Pleasant Hill) $16,569.21 ea.
Green Valley Aloha Saw & Mower (Fairfield) $16,601.57 ea.
East Bay Lawn Mower (Hayward) $16,721.85 ea.; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff determined San Mateo Lawn Mower was the lowest bidder for the specified piece of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2024 -25 Abatement Division budget has adequate funds to purchase this piece of equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richmond approves a purchase with San Mateo Lawn Mower for the purchase of four (4) toro 6000 series mowers for a cost not-to-exceed $72,200.
