RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE CITY’S POSITION CONTROL LIST AND BUDGET AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV Section 1(b)(1) of the City Charter, the City Manager has the responsibility to manage all affairs of the City's operations, and appoint employees when necessary for the good service of the City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Resolution No. 148-20, the City Manager has the authority to make appropriate administrative changes to the City’s position control list; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that certain amendments to the position control list are necessary to meet the operational needs of the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Richmond City Council authorizes the City Manager to modify the position control in order to meet the operational needs of the City; and amend the budget to allocate the necessary funds for salaries, wages, and benefits as required; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective July 1, 2025, the City’s position control is hereby revised to add the following positions:
Classification Department Unit
Paratransit Coordinator Transportation IFPTE Local 21 – Mid Management Unit
Chief Innovation Officer City Manager IFPTE Local 21 – Executive Management Unit
Project Coordinator Fire IFPTE Local 21 – Mid Management Unit
Confidential Investigator City Council IFPTE Local 21 – Executive -Management Unit
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, effective July 1, 2025, the City’s position control is hereby revised to delete the following positions:
