AGENDA
REPORT
August 19, 2025
DISCUSSION:
The Richmond Housing Authority (RHA) must remain in good standing with all regulatory agencies by filing timely and accurate tax documents. Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP (MGO) has provided these services to RHA in the past and has developed a strong institutional knowledge of the organization’s financial structure as well as the context and familiarity with the risk of failing to file timely. To ensure continuity and avoid potential delays or discrepancies, a sole-source procurement was conducted for the continuation of services (Attachment 1).
The scope of the contract includes preparation and filing of all required tax documents for the RHA and its affiliated corporations. By retaining MGO, RHA will maintain compliance while also avoiding additional costs and delays associated with onboarding a new vendor.
Ultimately, RHA is recommending adoption of a resolution to approve a contract with MGO for an amount not to exceed $24,000 commencing August 19, 2025, and terminating on June 30, 2028 (Attachments 2 and 3).
