STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Vita Rey is reapplying to serve on the Design Review
Board
RECOMMENDED ACTION: REAPPOINT Vita Rey to the Design Review Board with a term that expires on March 17, 2027 – Mayor’s Office
(Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Vita Rey has served on the Design Review Board since July 11, 2023. A nine-year resident of Richmond, Rey is deeply interested in how the city is evolving alongside the rest of the Bay Area and is committed to being an active part of Richmond’s growth and beautification. She has over 11 years of professional experience as a commercial designer, offering valuable expertise in aesthetics, functionality, and sustainable design.
Rey holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and maintains several professional credentials, including NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification, LEED Green Associate accreditation, and membership in NCARB (National AGENDA

Council of Architectural Registration Boards). Her combination of design expertise and commitment to community improvement positions her to continue making meaningful contributions to the Board’s work.
