STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Xiomara Casias is reapplying to serve on the Human
Rights and Human Relations Commission
RECOMMENDED ACTION: REAPPOINT Xiomara Casias to the Human Rights and Human Relations Commission with a term that expires on
March 30, 2028 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo
Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION: Xiomara Casias has served on the Human Rights and Human Relations Commission since December 17, 2024. During her tenure, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and community engagement. As the youngest AGENDA

individual to ever serve on the commission, Xiomara brings a unique and valuable perspective that reflects the voices of younger residents in our community.
Her passion for public service, collaborative spirit, and ongoing dedication make her an asset to the Commission. Mayor Eduardo recommends the reappointment of Xiomara Casias to continue her service on the Human Rights and Human Relations Commission.
