STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Geovanni Flores is reapplying to serve on the Workforce Development Board
RECOMMENDED ACTION: REAPPOINT Geovanni Flores to the Workforce Development Board with a term that expires on March 1,
2028 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-
620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Geovanni Flores has served on the Richmond Workforce Development Board since 2020, bringing valuable experience and perspective to the board’s mission of guiding an effective, customer-centered workforce development system. As the Apprentice Coordinator at the Northern California Laborers Training Center, Flores plays a key role in preparing individuals for meaningful careers in the trades. Their continued service supports strong labor partnerships and helps ensure that workforce programs are AGENDA

aligned with industry needs and employment opportunities. Reappointing Flores will maintain valuable continuity and expertise on the board.
