Recognize and Celebrate
National Manufacturing Week
from October 6 to October 10, 2025
WHEREAS, National Manufacturing Week is observed annually to recognize the critical role manufacturing plays in the economic vitality, innovation, and resilience of communities across the United States; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond is home to a diverse and dynamic manufacturing sector that provides high-quality jobs, supports local supply chains, and contributes significantly to the city’s economic development; and
WHEREAS, Richmond manufacturers produce a wide range of goods, from advanced technology and green energy components to food products and industrial materials, demonstrating the city’s leadership in innovation and sustainability; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond is committed to supporting workforce development, equitable economic opportunity, and partnerships that strengthen the manufacturing ecosystem; and
WHEREAS, National Manufacturing Week provides an opportunity to highlight the contributions of local manufacturers, inspire the next generation of makers and innovators, and promote career pathways in the manufacturing industry; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond recognizes the importance of celebrating and uplifting the achievements of its manufacturing community and the organizations that support them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Mayor Eduardo Martinez, and the City Council of Richmond, California, hereby recognize and celebrate National Manufacturing Week from October 6 to October 10, 2025, and encourage all residents, businesses, and community partners to join in honoring the contributions of Richmond’s manufacturing sector.
