The City of Oakland is proud to partner with Powerful Neighborhoods to promote healthy homes, resilient energy, and climate resilience. This community-driven program, funded through state and local efforts and supported by PG&E, offers residents and business owners in eligible neighborhoods the opportunity to upgrade to clean, energy-efficient electric appliances at zero-to-minimal cost.
Oaklanders deserve the opportunity to modernize their buildings, upgrade their appliances, and participate in the clean energy transition without additional burden. By providing no-cost upgrades, Powerful Neighborhoods makes energy efficiency much more accessible, while promoting healthier living environments and potentially lowering energy costs.
Powerful Neighborhoods aligns with Oakland's goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy resilience, promote healthy indoor air, and enhance the quality of life for all. We expect this program to benefit our community by enhancing comfort and supporting Oakland's commitment to a healthy, clean-energy future.
