STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Alexander Rony is applying for the Richmond Recreation
and Parks Commission. Alexander will be filling a term
that was formerly vacated, thus he would be filling an
unexpired term.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Alexander Rony to fill a vacant seat on the
Richmond Recreation and Parks Commission, with the
term ending on October 26, 2028 - Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Alexander Rony is being moved forward for appointment to the Recreation and Parks Commission to help restore the commission’s roster and ensure the Commission can resume its work after an extended period of inactivity. His background, including AGENDA

experience with civic organizations and a clear interest in parks, wildfire risk abatement, and environmental equity, aligns with the Commission’s core responsibilities.
