STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Linda Whitmore is applying for a vacant seat on the
Richmond Zhoushan Friendship Commission.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPOINT Linda Whitmore to the Richmond Zhoushan
Friendship Commission with a term that expires on
December 31, 2028 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo
Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Linda has expressed interest in cultural exchange initiatives with the City of Richmond.
As a drama and dance instructor, she works with many students who are Chinese and enjoys helping them share their culture with the broader community.
