STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
The Mayor is responsible for appointing City
Councilmembers to Regional Committees, Ad Hoc
Committees, and as Liaisons to City Boards and
Commissions. This amendment updates the list to
include the Community Crisis Response Program
Advisory Board, along with its liaison (Councilmember
Claudia Jimenez). It also swaps the position of the Mayor and Councilmember Zepeda on the MCE Clean Energy
Regional Body.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
AMEND the 2025–26 appointments of the Mayor and
City Councilmembers to Regional Committees, Ad Hoc
Committees, and Liaison positions to add the Community
Crisis Response Program Advisory Board and designate
Councilmember Claudia Jimenez as its liaison, and to
confirm the exchange of liaison assignments between the Mayor and Councilmember Zepeda on the MCE Clean
Energy Board - Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez

DISCUSSION:
The Mayor is responsible for appointing City Councilmembers to serve on Regional Committees, Ad Hoc Committees, and as Liaisons to City Boards and Commissions.
This amendment reflects the following changes:
Addition of the Community Crisis Response Program Advisory Board Addition of Councilmember Claudia Jimenez as the Community Crisis Response Program Advisory Board City Council Liaison
Update to MCE Clean Energy Regional Board assignment
o Change Councilmember Zepeda from member to alternate
o Change Mayor from alternate to member
These updates ensure the City’s official committee list accurately reflects current Council and Mayoral appointments for 2026.
