DISCUSSION:
On December 19, 2023, City Council approved a five-year agreement with Intuitive Municipal Solutions (iMS), LLC to implement their suite of Enterprise Community Development and Land Management software as a service (SaaS). This initiative has enabled us to streamline our processes, including online permitting, business tax, rent program, permits, online payments, and electronic plan reviews, all while meeting our goals of sustainability, customer-friendliness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for a total cost of $1,758,596.00.
Since our “go-live” date on April 28, 2025, various City departments have identified new features that will enhance our efficiency and better meet our functional requirements.
These improvements will automate tasks, streamline administrative functions, and facilitate effective communication with community stakeholders. In total, thirty-one new items have been identified and reviewed by our leadership for inclusion in the Phase II scope of work. While Phase I focused on core software functionality, Phase II will address additional features identified post go-live.
Some of the noteworthy new functionalities include enhancements for Sidewalk Vendors, improved workflow and reporting for CIP Projects, permitting process enhancements, new applications and workflow for Special Events, and workflow for the Rental Inspection Program. These additions range from feature and functionality enhancements to new workflows, processes, procedures, and custom reporting capabilities, all designed to support our staff and community more effectively.
