A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF
RICHMOND AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS (IAFF) LOCAL 188
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 188 had a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering the period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City and IAFF Local 188 are required under the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (MMBA) to meet and confer in good faith regarding wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with MMBA Government Code Section 3505, the City’s negotiation team met and conferred in good faith with representatives of IAFF Local 188 to negotiate a successor MOU; and
WHEREAS, the successor MOU has been ratified by the membership of IAFF Local 188, and the City Council is required to adopt the MOU.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Richmond adopts the MOU between the City of Richmond and IAFF Local 188 set forth in Exhibit A, and directs the City Manager or designee to update the publicly available salary schedule with the adopted wage increases during the term of the MOU.
