RESOLUTION NO. ______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND
APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH T&R RIPARIAN RESTORE FOR WEED
ABATEMENT SERVICES AT THE POINT POTRERO MARINE TERMINAL
WHEREAS, the City owns and operates terminals at the Port of Richmond, including the Point Potrero Marine Terminal; and
WHEREAS, routine weed abatement and vegetation management services are necessary to protect infrastructure, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure safe and secure Port operations; and
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals in July 2025 to solicit qualified contractors to perform weed abatement services at the Point Potrero Marine Terminal; and
WHEREAS, five proposals were received and evaluated by a panel of City staff in accordance with the evaluation criteria established in the Request for Proposals; and
WHEREAS, T&R Riparian Restore received the highest overall evaluation score and was determined to be the most qualified firm to provide the requested services; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $69,785 is available in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Port Operations and Maintenance Budget Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
1. The City Council hereby approves a contract with T&R Riparian Restore for weed abatement and related maintenance services at the Point Potrero Marine Terminal for a one -year term in an amount not to exceed $69,785; and
2. The City Council hereby authorizes two optional one -year extensions, each in an amount no t to exceed $69,785, subject to available funding; and
3. The City Council hereby authorizes any necessary amendments consistent with this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves and adopts a contract with T&R Riparian Restore for weed abatement and related maintenance services.
