RESOLUTION NO. ______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CHRISP COMPANY FOR ON-
CALL CITYWIDE ROADWAY STRIPING, STENCILING, AND STREET SIGN
SERVICES FOR AN INITIAL THREE-YEAR TERM, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $750,000, WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR TERMS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000 PER YEAR, FOR A TOTAL POTENTIAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,250,000
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department, Streets Maintenance Unit, is responsible for maintaining roadway striping, pavement markings, and traffic control signage throughout the City of Richmond; and
WHEREAS, maintaining roadway striping, thermoplastic markings, pavement legends, and traffic signage is necessary to ensure roadway safety and compliance with California MUTCD and Caltrans standards; and
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals seeking qualified contractors to provide On-Call Citywide Roadway Striping, Stenciling, and Street Sign Services; and
WHEREAS, the solicitation was advertised through the City’s procurement system and 226 vendors were notified of the opportunity to submit proposals; and
WHEREAS, one responsive proposal was received, submitted by Chrisp Company; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff reviewed the proposal and determined that Chrisp Company is qualified to perform the required services and that the pricing is reasonable and consistent with current market conditions; and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract establishes a not -to-exceed amount of $ 750,000, with an initial three-year term and the option for two additional one-year extensions, for a total potential contract value not to exceed $1,250,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richmond hereby awards a contract to Chrisp Company for On-Call Citywide Roadway Striping, Stenciling, and Street Sign Services with a not-to-exceed amount of $750,000, for an initial three -year term with the option to extend for two additional one -year terms in an amount not to exceed $250,000 per year, for a total potential contract amount not to exceed $1,250,000.
