K-Rails and Boulders
NOTICE INVITING BIDS
The City of Richmond Public Works Department requires the purchase of K -Rails and large boulders to support ongoing encampment abatement, right-of-way protection, and site hardening projects throughout the City. These materials are essential for restricting vehicular access to sensitive areas, improving public safety, and ensuring compliance with abatement strategies approved by City leadership. K-Rails provide durable, movable concrete barriers suitable for high-traffic and high-risk locations, while natural stone boulders (1–3 tons) offer a permanent and aesthetically compatible alternative in parks, open space, and residential buffer zones. Procuring these materials through competitive bids will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery.
