RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE ACCE PTANCE AND
APPROPRIATION OF CAL IFORNIA TAHOE CONSER VANCY TAHOE
FOR ALL GRANT PROGRA M FUNDS IN THE AMOUN T OF $60,000
FOR THE PATHFIN DERS: YOUTH OUTDOORS RICHMOND
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the California Tahoe Conservancy (“Conservancy”) released a funding announcement on September 17, 2025, to solicit applications for the Tahoe for All Grant Program, which aims to expand access to Lake Tahoe and outdoor recreation opportunities for underserved and underrepresented communities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, as a municipal corporation and charter city, submitted an application on December 19, 2025, for funding to support the Pathfinders: Youth Outdoors Richmond Weekend Camping Program; and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2026, the City of Richmond was notified of a grant award in the amount of $60,000 to support the implementation of the Pathfinders:
Youth Outdoors Richmond Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has received and accepted the Agenda Report regarding this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond finds the above recitals accurate and have served together with the Agenda Report as the basis for the findings and approvals set forth in this Resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond accepts and appropriates grant program funds from the California Tahoe Conservancy in the amount of $60,000 for the purpose of supporting the implementation of the Pathfinders: Youth Outdoors Richmond Weekend Camping Program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond authorizes the City Manager or their designee to execute the Grant Agreement and all other documents required by the California Tahoe Conservancy for participation in the Tahoe for All Program, and any amendments thereto, and accept and appropriate the grant funds.
