RESOLUTION NO. xx-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
CALIFORNIA, TO ACCEPT THE LINCOLN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SAFE
ROUTES TO SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AS COMPLETE
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Elementary School Safe Routes to School Improvement Project (“Project”) aimed to enhance pedestrian safety for students and parents commuting along the Richmond Greenway and Chanslor Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work included curb extensions, raised intersection, median islands, raised crosswalks; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 2024, the City Council awarded a construction contract to BuildCorp, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $456,000 and authorized a contingency for change orders up to $68,400; and
WHEREAS, the budget and project costs are as follows:
A. Construction Contract Amount $ 456,000
B. Approved Change Orders $ 55,000
C. Design, Construction Management, Project Management $ 79,802.50 Total Project Cost $ 590,802.50
WHEREAS, the Project is accepted as complete, Notice of Completion has been filed with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office, and is Categorical Exemptions under CEQA guidelines §15300.1; and
WHEREAS, this action does not result in additional fiscal impact be yond the approved project budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council finds the above recitals are true and correct and have served, together with the Agenda Report, as the basis for the findings and actions set forth in this Resolution.
Section 1: The City Council hereby accepts construction of the Lincoln Elementary School Safe Routes to School Improvement Project as complete.

Section 2: Authorizes the City Engineer to execute and release any applicable bonds and retention in accordance with City procedures.
Section 3: Authorizes and ratifies the previously recorded Notice of Completion with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council designates the City Clerk as the custodian of the documents and other materials which constitute the record of proceedings upon which the decision herein is based. These documents may be found at the office of the City Clerk at the Richmond City Hall, 450 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, California 94804.
