RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA FOR AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT AND
APPROPRIATE THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMEN T OF
TRANSPORTATION CLEAN CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
AND EMPLOYMENT PATHW AYS GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $255,000 FOR THE STONGER TOGETHER
RICHMOND CLEAN UP AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation (“State”) issued a Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”) on September 15, 2025 for the California Department of Transportation Clean California Community Clean Up and Employment Pathways Grant (“Clean California CCEP”) grant funds to benefit low-income residents or communities of California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, as a municipal corporation and a charter city, applied and was awarded the Clean California CCEP grant for the Stronger Together Richmond Clean Up and Leadership program; and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2026 the City of Richmond was notified of a grant award in the amount of $255,000 to support the implementation of the Stronger Together Richmond Clean Up and Leadership program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond has received and accepted the Agenda Report regarding this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond finds the above recitals accurate and have served together with the Agenda Report as the basis for the findings and approvals set forth in this Resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond accepts and appropriates grant program funds from the California Department of Transportation Clean California Community Clean Up and Employment Pathways Grant in the amount of $255,000 for the purpose of supporting the implementation of the Stronger Together Richmond Clean Up and Leadership program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Richmond authorizes the City Manager or their designee to execute the Grant Agreement, and all other documents required by the State for participation in the Clean California CCEP Program, and any amendments thereto.
