May 26, 2026
This year marks the 12th anniversary of Richmond Rainbow Pride, a local organization dedicated to promoting LGBTQI+ visibility, advocacy, and celebration within our community. Their work reflects the resilience, leadership, and strength of Richmond’s LGBTQI+ residents and allies.

While we celebrate the cultural, social, and economic contributions of LGBTQI+ individuals, we also recognize that members of this community continue to face discrimination and inequities. This proclamation serves as both a celebration and a call to action, reinforcing the City's dedication to protecting the rights and dignity of LGBTQI+ individuals and standing firmly against hate, bias, and exclusion.

The city encourages all residents, businesses, and community organizations to uplift LGBTQI+ voices, promote awareness, and participate in efforts that advance equality and respect for all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
