United States. This day serves as a reminder of the resilience and strength of African Americans and the ongoing struggle for racial equity and justice.

The African American community has played a pivotal role in shaping Richmond's history and development from the early migration during the World War II era to their ongoing contributions to the city's cultural, social, and economic fabric.

Richmond recognizes and honors these invaluable contributions. We encourage residents to reflect on the African American community's impact on our city and support efforts to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

The annual Juneteenth celebration will take place on June 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Nicholl Park, 3230 Macdonald Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804.
