STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Jay Krohnengold is applying to serve on the Richmond
Arts and Culture Commission.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPOINT Jay Krohnengold to the Richmond Arts and Culture Commission to a vacant seat with a new term
ending January 31, 2030 – Mayor’s Office (Mayor
Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Jay Krohnengold has a strong passion for the arts, particularly performing arts, which have been an important part of his life for many years. As an actor, singer, and stage AGENDA

and vocal director, he is interested in expanding and improving arts opportunities in the area for both residents and surrounding communities. He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Advertising and an M.A. in Social Psychology, bringing both creative and professional experience to his community involvement.
