STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Ysela Lopez is applying to serve on the Richmond Youth
Council.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPOINT Ysela Lopez to the Richmond Youth Council to a vacant seat with a term ending December 31, 2027 –
Mayor’s Office (Mayor Eduardo Martinez 510-620-6503).
DISCUSSION:
Ysela Lopez is recommended for appointment to the Richmond Youth Council. As a student, she has participated in several programs and organizations, including the Future Generations Project, Richmond Fire and Police Toy Program, and Richmond Fire Youth Academy. She has also volunteered for city street cleanups and the Richmond Tiny House Village Mural Project. Ysela has taken advanced courses such as Honors Chemistry, Honors Spanish 2, and Honors English 2. While involved with the Future Generations Project, she worked as an administrative assistant, maintaining AGENDA
