STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
Karlyn C. Neel is reapplying to serve on the Design
Review Board.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: REAPPOINT Karlyn C Neel to the Design Review Board to a vacant seat with a new term ending March 17, 2028

DISCUSSION:
Karlyn C. Neel has been serving the commission since July 2024 and is seeking reappointment to the Design Review Board. She has worked in the field of design for nearly three decades and is passionate about architecture, history, historic preservation, outdoor living, and creating accessible, well-designed community spaces. She hopes to continue giving back to the Richmond community by sharing her extensive design expertise. Karlyn is actively involved in historic preservation efforts through the Indian Wells Preservation Foundation and was part of the first property in Indian Wells to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
