Application Questions
1. Why are you interested in serving on the Oversight Board? In order to see progress and/or enact change in our community it is important to be engaged. As a youth advocate and Richmond native, I am interested in serving as a member of the oversight board because it creates a space for civic engagement where as a community member I have a voice and input in an area that I am passionate about.
2. What is your vision for youth in Richmond?
My vision for Richmond Youth is that they exist in a space where they are empowered to thrive. I want them to live life boldly while moving through the world fearlessly. I want them to be adventurous in their pursuits with an undying commitment to their dreams. I want Richmond youth to understand the power that their voices hold. And my hope is that they use that voice in breaking barriers, questioning antiquated systems and transforming their communities. Richmond is a city of both pride and purpose, I want youth to feel and move with both.
