FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
Amending the salary schedule to retitle Senior
Programmer Analyst to Senior Applications Analyst does
not change any approved salary ranges or require
additional appropriations.

STATEMENT OF THE
ISSUE:
The City Council’s authorization is required to establish the salary range for the position of Senior Application Analyst by amending the salary schedule.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
ADOPT a resolution amending the salary schedule to
add the salary range for the Senior Applications Analyst classification – Human Resources Department (Nickie
Mastay/Sharrone Taylor 510-620-6602).

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Human Resources is seeking City Council approval to amend the salary schedule to retitle Senior Programmer Analyst to Senior Applications Analyst.
On June 25, 2026, Human Resources took an updated and retitled Senior Programmer Analyst job description to a new title of Senior Applications Analyst to the Personnel Board, which was approved.
NEXT STEPS:
City Council approval is required to amend the publicly available salary schedule. City staff recommend approval of the resolution amending the salary schedule to change the title of Senior Programmer Analyst to Senior Applications Analyst. Once approved, an entry will be made on the salary schedule to amend the salary range. The attached resolution will amend the salary schedule in the following manner:
