I hope you are doing well.

I'm reaching out respectfully
to ask for your support in helping Huitzilin Aztec Dance find a safe and welcoming space where the group can gather and practice.

Huitzilin, which means "hummingbird," is more than a dance group. Aztec dance is a cultural practice that brings together different generations of families and helps children, youth, and adults connect with traditions rooted in discipline, identity, community, and ancestral culture.

For young people especial. Having astrong sense of cultural identity and engine can he a rarta source of contentes, poses, a connection as they pursue their. ne of our biggest challenges is finding a consistent and safe place to practice. The group does not generate enough income to cover regular facility fees or insurance costs. At time re receive small donations, but those funds are mainly used to help us travel within the community and cover expenses related to presentations and cultural event We would greatly appreciate any support or guidance you may be able to offer in identifying a space where Huitzilin can continue this work. We would also be happy to meet with you if you would like to learn more about the group, our purpose, and the positive role this cultural practice plays in our community.

Thank you for considering our request and for supporting opportunities that help families stay connected to culture, community, and one another.

Warmly,
Alejandra Escobedo
