A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH NET ELECTRIC, INCREASING THE CONTRACT PAYMENT LIMIT BY $100,000, FROM A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO A NEW NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $200,000, TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING UNIT TURNOVER
ACTIVITIES AND WORK ORDERS AT NYSTROM VILLAGE
WHEREAS, Richmond Housing Authority (RHA) owns and manages 100 units of rental housing; and
WHEREAS, RHA entered into a Public Housing Authority Recovery and Sustainability (PHARS) agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, RHA remains obligated and committed to performing all HUD required functions, and providing quality service to local program participants; and WHEREAS, on April 1, 2025, the Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2208, approving a contract with Net Electric for on-call residential electric services at Nystrom Village, in an amount not to exceed $60,000 for a three-year term, with the option to extend for up to two additional years at $20,000 per year, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 and a maximum contract term through April 1, 2030; and
WHEREAS, RHA has since executed Amendment No. 1 to the contract, exercising the option to extend the contract term through April 1, 2030 at the full not-to-exceed amount of $100,000; and
WHEREAS, Net Electric has continued to provide certified electrician services to support unit turnover activities and respond to work order requests at Nystrom Village; and WHEREAS, RHA desires to amend the contract with Net Electric to increase the contract payment limit by $100,000, from a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 to a new not-toexceed amount of $200,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA THAT the Executive Director is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to the contract with Net Electric for residential electric services at Nystrom Village, increasing the contract payment limit by $100,000, from a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 to a new not-to-exceed amount of $200,000 to continue supporting unit turnover activities and work orders at Nystrom Village.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director is hereby authorized to take all actions necessary to implement this resolution.
