STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT: Proposed Approval Of Increased Appropriations To The FY 2025-2026 Budget PRESENTED BY: Travis Reed
SUMMARY:

The Public Works Department recently completed a successful surplus vehicle auction, generating $63,869.00 in revenue. These funds were originally allocated to the Streets revenue fund in the FY26 budget. However, due to the absence of any planned street-related projects in the current fiscal year, staff recommends reallocating the auction proceeds to support other priority initiatives within the Engineering Division.

It is proposed that the funds be transferred from the reimbursement account (100.40.4000.4902.000) to the professional services engineering account (100.40.4010.5101.302). This reallocation will support preliminary engineering (PE) services provided by Willdan Engineering for the HSIP Cycle 12 Crosswalk Improvement Project, as well as other similar engineering projects as needed. Each of these projects will be awarded via separate resolution.
