Subject: Basecamp Environmental, Inc - Bethany Home
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement with BaseCamp Environmental, Inc. to prepare CEQA compliance documents for Bethany Home’s proposed senior residential project, the Terraces at Bethany Home (funding source: Bethany Home's Development reimbursement account).
BACKGROUND: On September 9, 2021 the City of Ripon received an application from Bethany Home for a proposed three-story, 82-unit senior residential facility to be located at the corner of Main Street and Vera Avenue. At the October 12, 2021 the City Council approved a reimbursement agreement between the City of Ripon and Bethany Home for the processing of their application.
In order to cover CEQA compliance for the project Staff reached out to a couple of consultants to receive proposals. After reviewing both proposals and in consultation with Bethany Home’s development team, BaseCamp Environmental Inc. was selected to prepare the necessary CEQA documents for the project.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact to prepare the CEQA documents for the Terraces at Bethany Home project application will be covered by the Developer (Bethany Home) through the reimbursement account for the project.
