Subject: Service Agreement - LA RUE COMMUNICATIONS
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement with La Rue Communications in the annual not to exceed amount of $54,516 for radio maintenance services for the Police Department (funding source: General Fund).
BACKGROUND:
The City of Ripon entered into a service agreement with La Rue Communications on November 9, 2021, since that time the Police Department has updated and expanded communications equipment in the dispatch center, this updated agreement reflects the increased costs in maintaining that equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The maintenance of the communications equipment was considered as part of the Dispatch Agreements with the Cities of Lathrop and Escalon. The City of Ripon’s General Fund will be reimbursed for 54%, or $29,438 of the contract amount, through these agreements.
