City Council
259 N. Wilma Avenue
Ripon, CA 95366
MEMO
To: Honorable City Council
From: Lisa Roos, City Clerk & Finance Director
Date: 07/12/2022
Subject: 2022 Local Agency Biennial Notice
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the 2022 Local Agency Biennial Notice confirming the City’s Conflict of Interest Code and authorize the Mayor to execute the document.
BACKGROUND:
The Political Reform Act requires every local government agency to review its conflict of interest code biennially. A conflict of interest code tells public officials, government employees, and consultants what financial interests they must disclose on their Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
In August 2014, Staff did a thorough review of the City of Ripon’s Conflict of Interest Code and City Council approved Resolution No. 14-54 (see attached).
Since that time, there have been no substantial changes to our organization structure, no positions have been eliminated or re-named, no new positions have been added, and there has not been any substantial changes in duties or responsibilities for any of the positions. Therefore, an amendment to our Code is not necessary at this time.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for completing this form.
