This backup standby generator is partially funded ($56,623.38) through a Community Power Resiliency Grant from San Joaquin County in order to power the City Fueling Station in the event of a power outage. The generator will also be used to power any one of the sewer lift stations in the event of a power outage and the remaining $25,805.04 will be paid for through the Sewer Capital Enterprise Fund. The generator was purchased according to the City of Ripon Procurement Policy using Sourcewell to participate in a competitively solicited contract.
