Subject: Ripon Christian Bus Barn & Maintenance Facility PIA
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve the Project Improvement Agreement between the City of Ripon and Ripon Christian Schools required for the development of the Ripon Christian Bus Barn & Maintenance Facility Project and authorize the Mayor to sign for recording.
BACKGROUND
Ripon Christian Schools is proposing to construct a 6,000 square foot pole barn building for bus storage and maintenance at 775 Frontage Road.
On August 15, 2022, the Planning Commission approved the Ripon Christian School Bus Maintenance and Storage Facility project. As part of the conditions of approval, Ripon Christian Schools is required to enter into a Project Improvement Agreement with the City of Ripon that incorporates all work planned in the public right-of-way and provide the necessary improvement security associated with this work.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS
As part of this project, Ripon Christian Schools is required to complete the following improvements within the public right-of-way:
Installation of asphalt paving, curb, gutter, and sidewalk along the property frontage. Cape sealing the full street width along the property frontage and replacing striping, as required by the City Engineer.
Installation of one streetlight.
Staff is recommending the City Council approve the attached Project Improvement Agreement between the City of Ripon and Ripon Christian Schools. All required submittals and development fees have been received.
