RESOLUTION TO APPOINT CANDIDATES IN LIEU OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, Olivia Hale, Registrar of Voters, as the officer conducting the election for the following Districts, does hereby certify that, by 5 p.m. on the 83'd day prior to the day fixed for the general election that only one person filed a declaration of candidacy for the following elective offices to be filled at that election and no petitions signed by the voters for said Districts requesting that an election be conducted were presented to the Registrar of Voters office; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10515(a) of the California Elections Code, since no election was held on November 8, 2022 in the following Districts, the following named individuals shall be appointed in lieu of an election:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Supervisors, acting as the supervising authority of San Joaquin County, hereby accepts the appointments set forth above in the County of San Joaquin in lieu of an election; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each candidate is hereby declared appointed in lieu of election and the Registrar of Voters is hereby directed to issue certificates of appointment as provided by law.
