Leadership 201 Course Description – 24 Hours – 2.4 CEUs Leadership 201 is Learning and Development course, good for high-level managers, emerging leaders, and even followers. There is an optional tech-based focus, and/or public agency focus. We cover all the basics of leadership before quickly moving into higher material. A foundation in “Self-Awareness and Professional Effectiveness” serves as a pivotal foundation for the entire rest of the class, helping participants to shape their own leadership style. It differs from “trainings” in that there is a steady stream of concepts and ideas, blended together with class exercises, discussions, and reflective exercises that participants can apply to their respective situations. Participants will walk away from the class:
✓ Understand much better why people do the things they do, and how leaders can harness this. ✓ Knowing all the most salient points from the top leadership books. ✓ Ready to practice many more related skills not typically included in “trainings.” (E.g., transformational leadership theories, EQ applications, striking the right balance.)
