Subject: MCR Engineering
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with MCR Engineering to provide construction management and inspection services for various projects in the not to exceed amount of $30,000 (funding source: varies by construction project).
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
Due to the number of current and planned Capital Improvement and Private Development projects, together with the vacancy of one Engineering Department position, staff reached out to MCR Engineering and requested a proposal to assist with construction management and inspection services on various public and private projects. The City has contracted with MCR Engineering in the recent past with success, and they are currently contract City Engineers for Oakdale and Waterford.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The attached proposal outlines the time and material cost for construction management and inspection services at designated hourly rates; the Services Agreement has a not-to-exceed amount of $30,000. The expenses incurred will be charged to the appropriate fund matching the funding for the construction project.
