Subject: United Sign Systems
RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Approve the fabrication and installation of a new monument sign to replace the existing monument sign in front of City Hall in the not to exceed amount of $26,595.83 (funding source:

General Department Capital Fund).

DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:

The proposed new monument sign will replace the existing Police Department monument sign located along Wilma Avenue. The new sign will contain the City Logo as well as a site designation for Ripon City Hall & Police Department. The monument sign is designed to house electronic message center signs that can be viewed from both directions on Wilma Avenue. The proposed sign will be 5’-0” tall with a small arch for the City Logo and 8’-6” long. The proposed new sign will be located near the current monument sign location in a grass landscaped area and will be located far enough back from the sidewalk and street as to not interfere with vehicular site distances for cars exiting the City parking lot.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The entire cost for fabrication and installation of the proposed monument sign from United Sign Systems ($26,595.83) will be covered by the City’s General Department Capital Fund.
