RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the donation of $7,500 from Rick and Valerie Van Unen for the Ripon Police Department staff to attend carbine training with Fidelis Integrated Solutions, Inc.
BACKGROUND:
This is an advanced course designed to enable effective tactical employment of a carbine.
Officers will execute contextual shooting drills to validate skills within the course.
This training will not impact the department’s patrol or dispatch coverage, as the department will ensure patrol staffing is maintained during the training.
