Subject: Basecamp Environmental, Inc - Arc Way Development RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with BaseCamp Environmental, Inc. to prepare CEQA compliance documents for the 769 Frontage Road proposed convenience store, fueling station and retail commercial development project (funding source: Arc Way Development Project reimbursement account).
BACKGROUND: On June 6, 2023 the City of Ripon received an application from Sukhdev Singh for a proposed convenience store, fueling station and retail commercial development project to be located at the corner of Frontage Road and Arc Way (769 Frontage Road). At the December 12, 2023 the City Council approved a reimbursement agreement between the City of Ripon and Mr. Singh for the processing of their application.
In order to cover CEQA compliance and traffic analysis for the project Staff reached out to BaseCamp Environmental for a proposal to cover the needed work. Staff shared the proposal with the applicant and they have agreed to move forward with the selected consultant to prepare the necessary CEQA documents for the project.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact to prepare the CEQA documents for the Arc Way Development project application will be covered by the Developer (Sukhdev Singh) through the reimbursement account for the project.
