Subject: Fleet Maintenance Facility Furniture Purchase
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the purchase of furniture to be installed inside the break room, conference room and office of the Fleet Maintenance Facility in the not to exceed amount of $41,443.88 (funding sources: Corp Yard AB1600 Fund, Enterprise Capital Funds, and General Capital Fund).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
As part of the Fleet Maintenance Facility Project, the City Council approved a budget of $500,000 for City furnished items at the December 13, 2022 City Council meeting. At this time, the following items are planned to be purchased as part of the City furnished items:
Office and conference room furniture;
Computers/Network/Printers/Phones/Monitors;
Mobile Vehicle Column Lifts;
Miscellaneous shop storage/shelving;
The total cost for these items is expected to be $280,000 Staff has requested a quote from Warden’s for the purchase of furniture for the break/training room, conference room, and office. This includes chairs, tables, a desk, and filing cabinets. The total expense is $41,443.88.
Staff is recommending the City Council approve the purchase of the furniture for the Fleet Maintenance Facility in the not to exceed amount of $41,443.88.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The attached quotation from Warden’s is in the amount of $41,443.88 and will be allocated to the Corp Yard AB1600 Fund (47.0%), Water, Sewer and Storm Enterprise Capital Funds (15.8%) and General Capital Fund (37.2%).
