Subject: Grant Deed_Saundra Reeves and Jeramiah Reeves
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Requesting Council adopt the Resolution accepting a Grant Deed by Saundra Reeves and Jeramiah Reeves for certain real property to the City of Ripon in connection with the Picture Perfect Grooming Project (124 N. Locust Ave) and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute any and all documents necessary to complete the aforementioned transaction.

RESOLUTION NO. 24-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIPON ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RIPON
WHEREAS, Saundra Reeves and Jeramiah Reeves, herein referred to as “GRANTOR” are the owners of real property located in Ripon at 124 N. Locust Ave, San Joaquin County, California 95366 described in Exhibit “A” and “B” of the Grant Deed, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the ownership of the Property by the City of Ripon, herein referred to as “GRANTEE”, will further the public interest; and
WHEREAS, by execution of the Grant Deed attached hereto, Grantor conveyed the Property to the City of Ripon; and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 27281 mandates that deeds or grants conveying any interest or easement upon real property to a governmental agency for public purposes shall not be accepted by the County for recordation without consent of the grantee evidenced by its certificate or resolution of acceptance attached to or printed on the grant deed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ripon, does hereby accept the aforementioned Grant Deed from Saundra Reeves and Jeramiah Reeves.
The Mayor is authorized to sign and execute any and all documents necessary to complete the aforementioned transaction.
